We value children as an important part of the church family and aim to provide a safe, fun and exciting environment for them to learn more about how great God is and how to live for him to the full.
All ages from babies to late teens have groups suited to their particular needs. The church has a great team of volunteers leading and helping. We follow Home Office guidelines on checking and training all of these.
For those who would find it helpful, we run a crèche during every Sunday morning service for children up to the age of 3. The appropriate time to leave for this will be announced during the service and you will be shown where to go.
Please remember to collect your children straight after the service!
SClub runs during the Sunday morning service for children aged 3 to 11 (year 6). We begin by gathering as a whole church and then part-way through the service the children will be told when to leave for their groups.
SClub is all about faith with a whole heap of fun mixed in. Teaching is done in small, age specific groups, led by a trained and committed team.
Every week we open the Bible to hear what God has to say to us and learn
how to apply that to our lives. We may be young but we believe God uses
Toybox is a group for parents/carers and their children aged 0-5.
There are sessions from 10.00 to 11.30 every Monday morning during term times.
Toybox is a great place to meet other parents and have a nice cuppa while the children play. There's a great selection of toys, a craft activity, and story and song time.
Boybox runs from 10 - 11.30 on 6 Saturdays a year for Dads and their little ones. It is a great place to meet new people, have fun together and give Mum a morning off!
Adventurers is aimed at children in years 2 to 6 and meets at the church every Wednesday during term time from 6.15 pm to 7.30 pm. It combines engaging and relevant Biblical teaching with a great mix of activities, crafts and games.
'Fun and Faith' is a great way to sum up LCBC Holiday Bible Clubs, which run each year at Easter, because we have both in bucket loads! Each club has its own theme which ties the four days together. The children spend the day in their group, led by a committed leader. We enjoy a number of activities such as sports, craft, cooking, small group teaching as well as gathering together to sing, watch a drama and play silly games.
