Enabling gospel work to grow across our nation and the world

UK Gospel Partnerships

A key part of our vision as a church is to enable gospel work to grow across our nation. Working together with other like-minded churches and gospel ministries is an important display of unity. We are therefore involved in a number of different gospel partnerships.

  • Our church is affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC), a group of over 500 churches in the UK who seek to work together to train gospel workers, plant new churches and provide pastoral support to existing churches and their leaders.  Key to this partnership is working together to revitalise struggling churches.

  • LCBC is part of the South Central Gospel Partnership, which includes evangelical churches of different denominations in the Oxford, Reading and Maidenhead area and also has a focus on training and church planting. Some of our church members regularly attend the Ministry Training Course in Oxford.  There are opportunities for pastors from churches in Bucks and Oxfordshire to pray together.

  • We also have a close relationship with Christians in Sport based in Bicester.

World Mission

Our church has always had a keen interest in overseas mission and we have a Missionary Committee to focus our prayer, giving and support.

For more information, contact Marta de Gouveia (Chair of the Missionary Committee).

The role of the Missionary Committee is fourfold:

1. Equipping our church members and others who share our values to fulfil God’s calling to serve in cross-cultural mission

2. Encouraging our missionaries in their life of service

3. Engaging the whole church in global mission

4. Enabling our missionaries to fulfil their calling to make disciples of all nations

We currently support:

- Dave Green in Papua New Guinea

- David and Binnie in India

- John and Abi in Nigeria

- Steve and Mathilda in the UK

- The Koo family in Germany

- The Manga family in Senegal

- The Chard family in North Africa

Two key principles we aim to follow.

We also support Christian based organisations who help internationally with causes such as:

  • Serving persecuted Christians.

  • Releasing children from poverty.

  • Disaster relief.

  • International relief.

Some of the organisations LCBC is linked with include:
